The end of my work day is my favorite part of my time at the mission. Yes, I get to go home, but that’s not the draw. It’s the time of day when the men in program are done with their scheduled day. The house comes alive with laughter, play and community.

Today, I ventured over to our graduate house; we had a new grad moving in and I wanted to see how he was doing. He had just finished barbecuing for the house and wanted to show me his room. As I was taking the tour, another graduate came in and gave him a Santa Maria Speedway poster to help in his decorating. Teaching my guys how to have healthy relationships, that they can have fun without drugs and alcohol, and most importantly, that they can be restored through Jesus’ sacrifice, is such an honor!
