In partnership with the Santa Maria Foursquare Church and with Grace Baptist Church, the mission is reaching out to the many homeless children that live in north Santa Barbara County. Of all the counties in California, Santa Barbara County has the highest percentage of homeless students in its school systems (13.6%), and most of that number is in the north part of the county. In 2011, that number was 2,777 students – just in the Santa Maria Bonita School District; it has only gone up since then! The mission, its partnering churches, and its many wonderful volunteers hope to bring relief and the Good News of Jesus Christ to these struggling families.
